next week i will be attending a very special seminar hosted by great friends rebecca and kathryn of Engaging Concepts. The seminar is called engage!08: the encore ...... i attended the first engage!08 back in June and it was absolutely fantastic !!! kathy and rebecca are wonderful hosts and rebecca along with other guest speakers shared a wealth of knowledge !! i am so looking forward to next week ... so much great talent will be on hand to speak about business in the wedding industry today and what lies ahead ...... and sylvia weinstock will be there !!! now those of you who know me , know that yes , i have started my photography business- but before that , my friend melissa and i started our cake business Mel'Z custom creative cakes .... melissa and i will both be attending and can't wait to chat with sylvia !!! she creates the most amazing cakes !!! she has been in business for 25 years and started her business when she was 50 !!! there are so many more great speakers ...i will write more about all of them after the seminar next week .......

anyway - the reason for my post is this: all attendees of the seminar needed to send in a headshot and logo of their business - well. yes i am a photographer , but i didn't have a headshot of myself !! so , i got my camera out and called on my assistant ... my daughter ava !! she was thrilled beyond words .... she moved me around to different areas and had me doing different poses - it was pretty funny and fun :) ...... so - here are the top 2 i picked out to send over to kathy and rebecca ....... i wonder which one they will choose ..... i think it will be the black and white .......
